Biography
Father Émilien Tardif (1928–1999)
Born in Saint-Zacharie de Beauce, Quebec, on June 6, 1928, Father Émilien Tardif brought the Good News to seventy-two countries. Miraculously healed of tuberculosis in 1973, he received the charism of healing and turned it into a worldwide ministry of love and compassion. His cause for beatification, opened in 2007, is proceeding in Rome.

Birth in Beauce, Quebec
Born in Saint-Zacharie de Beauce, 9th child in a family of 14. Baptized the following day.
Move to Abitibi
The family settled in Rapide-Danseur, Abitibi. Émilien felt an early calling to missionary priesthood.
Religious Profession
First religious vows with the Missionaries of the Sacred Heart (M.S.C.) in Beauport.
Priestly Ordination
Ordained a Catholic priest. He immediately asked to be sent to foreign missions.
Mission to Dominican Republic
Arrived in Santo Domingo. Co-founded San José de las Matas Seminary and edited 'Amigo del Hogar'.
Provincial Superior
Served as superior of the Missionaries of the Sacred Heart in the Dominican Republic.
Miraculous Healing & Baptism in the Holy Spirit
Suffering from acute pulmonary tuberculosis, he was instantly healed through the prayers of charismatic lay visitors in Quebec. This marked the birth of his healing ministry.
Evangelization in 72 Countries
Preached to immense crowds across America, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Asia, followed by numerous documented healings.
Founding of Servants of the Living Christ
Founded the Community of the Servants of the Living Christ (C.S.C.V.), a lay association devoted to evangelization.
Passing into Eternity in Argentina
Died in San Antonio de Arredondo (Córdoba, Argentina) while preaching a priests’ retreat. National mourning declared in Dominican Republic.
Opening of Beatification Cause
Cardinal Nicolás de Jesús López Rodríguez officially opened the cause for beatification. Proclaimed Servant of God.
Closing of Diocesan Inquiry
Solemn closing of the diocesan phase in Santo Domingo and submission of acts to the Dicastery for the Causes of Saints in Rome.
