Prayer of petition for the beatification of Father Émilien Tardif, MSC
Father Émilien Tardif
God our Father, your love for us has been so great that you did not hesitate to give up your Son for our salvation. We thank you for this and for having given your Church Father Émilien Tardif to proclaim the Good News throughout the whole world. Contemplating with Our Lady of the Sacred Heart “him whom they have pierced”, Father Émilien was the passionate apostle of the Heart of Jesus, proclaiming in every corner of the world “that He is alive” and announcing his merciful love manifested in a particular way in prayer for the sick.
To show forth this compassionate love of Jesus and to praise him in his Holy Sacrament, we ask you, Lord, that Father Émilien Tardif be proposed to your Universal Church as an example of love of Christ, as a model of evangelizer and of self-giving for the salvation of all. Give him to us as an intercessor with you and as a guide in our journey, so that the Heart of Jesus may be loved throughout the whole world. Amen
Imprimatur: Cardinal Nicolas de Jesus Lopez Rodriguez, Archbishop of Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic
